Moshoeshoe I International Airport is the airport serving Maseru, the capital city of Lesotho, a small landlocked country in south Africa surrounded from all sides by Republic of South Africa. It is the only airport in Lesotho and is located in Mazenod town 18 km from Maseru.
Moshoeshoe is world’s smallest international airport, offering scheduled flights to Johannesburg, Republic of South Africa. It was named after a mid-19th century king of Lesotho. It has two runways and on passenger terminal.

The passenger facilities of the airport are pretty poor, as is the standard in Subsaharean Africa, unfortunately. Airports are for flying from one place to another, and not for staying or eating. You land and leave as soon as possible.
Nonetheless, such an airport is a curiosity for the modern traveler, and if you are visiting Lesotho from South Africa you will most likely be coming through it! For more information about holidays in Africa, please visit the Lasti24 website.
